Chassis #0622-788 — Base Fiat 850
A rare Targa variant of the 850 Sportiva S1, this car is currently undergoing a complete ground-up restoration. The photos show the bare body shell stripped to metal, with the engine removed and sitting alongside the chassis. The body has been primed in a distinctive yellow-green color in preparation for final paint.
The Targa configuration — with its removable roof panel — makes this one of the rarest Moretti variants, as very few Sportivas were produced with this open-top layout. The restoration is clearly being carried out to a high standard, with the body shell appearing solid and straight. The original engine and mechanical components are visible nearby, awaiting reassembly once the bodywork is completed.
