850 Sportiva S4

This 1970 Sportiva S4 was recovered from a private collection in Piedmont, Italy, in September 2025 — a true barn find. Finished in its original red, the car retains all its original glass, Moretti badges and shields, and the distinctive wooden dashboard with Veglia instrumentation. The odometer reads 62,558 km.

The ACI libretto documents an unbroken chain of ownership from the factory. First sold on 12 December 1970 directly by sas Moretti in Torino, this S4 carries chassis number 100 GB ★1508591★, engine number 100 GB 000, and homologation DGM 5531 OM. The original Turin registration plate was TO E23702.

While the body shows significant rust perforation on the lower panels and sills, the car is remarkably complete — including all interior trim, the rear backrest (though the rear bench seat is missing), and the characteristic Moretti script on the tail. The engine turns freely but has not been run. A fascinating survivor awaiting restoration.
