A remarkable barn find discovered in the United States after more than 50 years in single-family ownership, this S1 is shown in its as-found condition. The car is finished in what appears to be original dark green paint, now heavily weathered with significant surface rust and patina throughout.
Despite the extensive surface deterioration, the body structure appears fundamentally sound. The Sportiva's distinctive shape remains clearly recognizable, with the front end, roofline, and rear quarter all intact. The car retains its original steel wheels. This barn find represents both a significant discovery and a major restoration challenge — the long period of storage has preserved the car from accident damage but the elements have taken their toll on the bodywork and brightwork.
